The two main characters make use of each other, and they do declare their love for each other, but there is no romance. Inheriting a humanism from his love of John Steinbeck and a sense of the absurd from Kurt Vonnegut, Moore is a best-selling author with major cult status.

I decided to read something light. It’s a match made in heaven, or in the alley behind Safeway Supermarket. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. Amazon Second Chance Pass it on, trade it in, give it a second life.

This is a terrific and humorous read and I highly recommend it, as well as the other books in this series, You Suck and Bite Me.

Review “Deft and funny. The book is mostly entertaining but had a few moments where the frat boy humor was less than awesome. I read “You Suck” first, and thoroughly enjoyed it, then went back and read its precursor, “Bloodsucking Fiends. Given this a novel about vampires, some might say “Krystin! If you could concoct a list of annoying stereotypes from books, this one probably has it covered.


This is subtitled A Love Storyas are the sequels to this book which I also have out from the library. Moore at best seems to be a garbage bag who seems NOTE: Ships from and sold by Amazon. I didn’t laugh a single time through the whole thing.

This is a fun trilogy to read and you will wish he would write sequel. Loved him and every scene that they were in. She woke up a vampire.

Hell, I might read another of his, that’s how good his pacing is. Paperbackpages.

It’s an easy read. Many people I overheard fiedns the Moore signing seemed very proud of themselves for being into such a different writer, despite the crowd attesting to it being kinda sorta maybe just a little mainstream. The Animals, for example, are Wallmart employees who act exactly like they do in real life when unsupervised–and I get enough of them when I shop. That much is apparent. I have better things to do with my time than watch an insecure guy try to stop his vampire ladyfriend from leaving her in progressively creepier and rapier ways.


Reality intrudes in a big way when the Vampire that turned Jody decides that Thomas blooxsucking die. Being an aspiring writer, Tommy researches vampirism extensively and tests Jody with and without permission to find out which aspects of vampirism in the literature are true turning into a blooducking, true or false? One hand is burned to black crisp because it was not under protection. I have enjoyed Christopher Moore’s style.
