So, no nasty cliffhangers to drive you nuts, making this series a must read in the urban fantasy genre. Jaz’s latest mission has taken her to the ancient Greek city of Patras; bitteen instead of soaking up its splendor, she’s supposed to to infiltrate a Vampere Trust. In this installment, we learn more about Vayl’s past as he and Jaz visit his former Vampere Trust.

Jaz has herself so worried about crushing him by telling him no, deaath I just don’t think it will really effect him that much in the long run. Rardin’s world of CIA assassins and vampire bonds has potential, which I suppose is why I keep deatn. Were-creatures join the plotline and we learn a lot more about Vayl’s past.

At the centre of the books are two CIA “black ops” agents, one a former vampire-hunter-turned-spy, the other a year-old vampire. Read an excerpt from Bitten to Deathand learn more about the rardiin and her work at Jennifer Rardin’s websiteMySpace pageand Facebook page.

I hope the next book of this serie will show all of them together again! But can he make you giggle? Jaz finds out some rather disconcerting news about Vayl, news that threatens their budding romance.

Now my laptop is my constant companion. As they arrive at the Trust they realise that not everything is as it seems, the former leader is missing and the person who has taken over has her sights set firmly on Vayl. She married Kirk Rardin in and the couple had two children, Katie and Ben.

Archived from the original on 16 September Vayl is a year old vampire who is aesthetic perfection, but is just as emotionally disturbed as Jasmine. It’s hard writing and it comes off great. Jaz sprays herself with doggie pheromones and the results are hilarious. Sep 05, Jejnifer rated it it was ok. Jaz herself does have a personality–but it’s often irritating. I chose to read this book just a few days ago after hearing about the unexpected death of the author this past Monday, Sept Earlier that year, before her death, Rardin had announced that she would be working on a new book entitled Book Club Of The Damned. I jerked upright, tring to pull my phone out of my pocket and managing instead to bang my elbow against the wall. She took away the easy outs that have weakened the last two books; Jaz can’t turn to the team of specialists-cum-friends to avoid facing difficult scenes or risking pushing herself emotionally and physically; Rardin forced herself to write the hard scenes where all three major characters face their failings and their hopes.

Her partner is Vayl, a sexy vampire with plenty of secrets of his own. The sheer number of supporting characters did make reading this book a little daunting. And based on Vayl being flat and Jaz irritating, how did these two decide they want each other? Just what I like to give my readers.

When they arrive, they find out that the Deyrar, the leader of the Trust is not whom they thought it was. The stakes are also raised in this book, because how they handle this case will profoundly effect where each character goes personally as well as professionally.
